The Flight Dynamics team is responsible for simulating our vehicle trajectories, running hypersonic CFD models, aerodynamic data analysis to validate our models, and developing the recovery systems used to safely return our vehicle to the ground.

SUBTEAMS
Simulation Architecture
SimArch develops our in-house 6DOF trajectory simulation model, allowing us to predict what our vehicles’ flight patterns will look like.
Aerodynamics
On ascent, the launch vehicle's Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) system will calculate course corrections and actuate control surfaces accordingly.
The Aerodynamics subteam ensures the success of the GNC system by designing control surfaces that can supply the necessary restoring forces.
Recovery
The Recovery subteam develops all of our Recovery hardware (parachutes + deployment mechanisms).
